An election to select
two Suffolk Coastal District Councillors for the Saxmundham ward
(Saxmundham, Kelsale and Theberton) was held on Thursday 3rd May
2007.
The result was:

The Representation
of the People Act 1983, Part 4. The Review of Polling Districts
and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006 –
Statutory Instrument 2006 No.2965
Notice is hereby given that in compliance
with the above legislation, the Council is currently conducting
a review of those polling districts and polling places for the Central
Suffolk and North Ipswich and Suffolk Coastal Parliamentary Constituencies
that fall within the boundaries of the Suffolk Coastal District.
The Returning Officer for the constituencies
will comment on any proposed polling stations.
Any elector within the constituencies
may make representations concerning either the existing, or proposed
arrangements (when published) as to their accessibility with regard
to all electors within a particular polling district.
Representations are also invited from
any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any
type of disability to comment on the Council's proposals, or the
recommendations of the Acting Returning Officer.
The Council's proposals and the Returning
Officer's representations are published from 19 August 2011 and
all comments are to be received by 11
November 2011.
Representations made by any person
or body in connection with the review to use another venue as a
polling station must indicate why the current venue is unsuitable,
in their opinion, and should include a suggestions for an alternative
polling place.
Any written representations should
be addressed to the Democratic & Licensing Services Manager,
Suffolk Coastal District Council, Council Offices, Melton Hill,
Woodbridge , IP12 1AU or by email to elections@suffolkcoastal.gov.uk.
Representations will be available for public inspection at this
address 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays.
Final recommendations will be considered
by the Council at its meeting on 24 November 2011 and implementation
of the results will take effect on 31 December 2011.
