CITIZENS ADVICE IN SAXMUNDHAM

The Citizens Advice Bureau in Saxmundham has moved!

From the start of January 2010, Leiston, Saxmundham & District CAB are running the Saxmundham Outreach Session from the Meadow Children's Centre, situated just next to the Middle School.

Nick Mayo, Manager at the Bureau, said: ”We have moved from the Housing Action offices in the High Street because they need the space. I hope that we will be able to build up an equally good working relationship with the Children's Centre. The premises there are more accessible and the interview room provides better aural privacy. We hope that parents using the Centre will take the opportunity to come and see us there but we also hope that clients used to coming to the High Street will come and find us.

We can offer advice on all subjects – benefits, employment, housing and debt are the biggest issues we deal with. People running into debt are advised to come and see us sooner rather than later, as we can negotiate with creditors and investigate whether there are any benefit entitlements to help with the budget.”

Advice sessions commenced in the Children's Centre on 6 January 2010. Sessions run from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesdays.

The Leiston Bureau is open at 14 Colonial House on Mondays and Fridays 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10.00 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. The telephone number for Leiston is 01728 832 193.
