Welcome to the World War One Memorial Trail

The trail was inaugurated as part of the centenary of the opening of Saxmundham’s Memorial Field in 1922. It was researched and designed by local residents in conjunction with the Town Council and documents where the fallen of World War One lived, are commemorated and in some cases are buried in the Town’s Commonwealth War Graves.
