To ensure a safe route for the race, riders and residents it will be necessary to suspend some on street parking. Some roads will  also need to be closed. Full details of these and the timings can be found Tour of Britain travel information » East Suffolk Council. There will also be a rolling road closure in operation across the route for around 15 minutes before the estimated time of arrival until approximately 10 minutes after the last rider has passed.

All the residents and businesses on the route that will be affected by the on-street parking and road closers will have a letter delivered to them informing them of the disruption. There will also bel be signage present in affected areas.

For the safety of the riders, spectators and public, any vehicles left in these areas may have to be removed and a Penalty Charge Notice applied.

Spectators can watch from roadsides all along the route.  There will be no barriers between riders and spectators so it is important that members of the public stay alert.  Please take steps to keep yourselves, your children and pets safe as the cyclists will be moving at speed.
