Joe McGarvey
I live in Saxmundham and this is my long-term home. Serving as a Town Councillor is a way for me to contribute to the town in a practical, responsible and constructive way.
I approach the role with a focus on listening, learning and supporting sound decision-making in the interests of the whole community. I do not come with a fixed agenda; instead, I work within the Council’s procedures and take the time to understand how local decisions are made and why those processes matter.
I recognise that local government often involves detailed work, patience and steady progress rather than quick results. I am comfortable with that pace and committed to putting in the time required, including training and committee work. I believe trust is built through reliability and respect, and I aim to serve Saxmundham in a thoughtful, dependable and measured way.
